A/HRC/22/18 issues and causes should be an increasingly important part of peacekeeping efforts and also underpin the political dialogue for a comprehensive settlement of the Cyprus problem. Moreover, it is welcome that the Special Rapporteur on freedom of religion or belief conducted a mission to Cyprus in March and April 2012, and further visits by special procedure mandate holders are encouraged. 2
