Emerging issues such as the impact of new technologies on human rights were addressed in the reports of the Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of the right to freedom of opinion and expression on artificial intelligence and on encryption and anonymity, the report of the Special Rapporteur on the right to privacy on big data and open data, the report of the Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance on the contemporary use of digital technology in the spread of neo-Nazi and related intolerance and the report of the Special Rapporteur on violence against women, its causes and consequences, on online violence against women.
