A/HRC/40/43 (b) Urges the State of Palestine to conduct prompt, thorough, transparent, effective, impartial and independent investigations of all alleged violations and abuses of international human rights law and international humanitarian law, in particular all allegations of international crimes, and calls on it to ensure that all victims have access to effective remedies and reparation; (c) Recommends that all parties respect international law, including international humanitarian law, in particular the principles of distinction, proportionality and precaution, and ensure accountability for grave violations; (d) Calls upon all States to take measures to ensure respect for the Geneva Conventions by all parties; (e) Reiterates the calls upon all States and relevant United Nations bodies to take all necessary measures to ensure full respect for and compliance with the relevant resolutions of the Security Council, the General Assembly and the Human Rights Council. 16
