Outcome of the Universal Periodic Review: Czech Republic
The Human Rights Council,
Acting in compliance with the mandate entrusted to it by the General Assembly in its
resolution 60/251 of 15 March 2006 and Council resolutions 5/1 of 18 June 2007 and 16/21
of 21 March 2011, and in accordance with the President’s statement PRST/8/1 on
modalities and practices for the universal periodic review process of 9 April 2008;
Having conducted the review of the Czech Republic on 22 October 2012 in
conformity with all the relevant provisions contained in Council resolution 5/1;
Adopts the outcome of the universal periodic review on the Czech Republic which is
constituted of the report of the Working Group on the Czech Republic (A/HRC/22/3),
together with the views of the Czech Republic concerning the recommendations and/or
conclusions, as well as its voluntary commitments and its replies presented before the
adoption of the outcome by the plenary to questions or issues that were not sufficiently
addressed during the interactive dialogue in the Working Group (A/HRC/22/3/Add.1 and
A/HRC/22/2, chapter VI).
