Summary
Despite progress, child health remains a significant concern throughout the world.
The present report describes the main health issues that affect children. It contains an
analysis of the obligations of States and other duty-bearers with regard to children’s right to
health, and recommendations to ensure the realization of that right. The report stresses that
the survival, protection, growth and development of children in good physical and
emotional health are the foundations of human dignity and human rights.
