The Houthis’ widespread use of landmines along Yemen’s western coast since mid2017 has killed and injured hundreds of civilians and prevented aid groups from reaching vulnerable communities. Houthis planted landmines in most al-Hudaydah districts. The alDurayhimi and al-Tuhayat districts had by far the highest number of reported deaths from landmines in 2018.
