The complexity of the current internal displacement landscape required a comprehensive response if the human rights and fundamental freedoms of all internally displaced persons were to be upheld and protected. In her conclusions, the moderator reiterated that the Plan of Action for Advancing Prevention, Protection and Solutions for Internally Displaced People 2018–2020 was a timely opportunity and a forum for working more collaboratively and effectively with the common goal of reducing and resolving internal displacement, in line with the Guiding Principles, by advancing prevention, protection and durable solutions for internally displaced persons. 11
