As the intergovernmental body with responsibility for promoting and protecting human rights worldwide, the Human Rights Council should keep itself regularly informed of patterns of violence and discrimination linked to sexual orientation and gender identity, as well as emerging State responses. To this end, OHCHR stands ready to submit further reports upon request, and current special procedures mandate holders should be encouraged to continue to report on related violations within their respective mandates. 22
