At the 23rd meeting, on 24 September, the representative of France (on behalf of the European Union) introduced draft resolution A/HRC/9/L.18, sponsored by France (on behalf of the European Union). Subsequently, Australia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Canada, Iceland and Israel joined the sponsors. 243. In introducing the draft resolution, the representative of France (on behalf of the European Union) made oral revisions to paragraph 6, replaced paragraphs 7 and 8 and added new paragraphs 9 and 10. 244. The representative of Burundi made a statement as the concerned country. 245. In accordance with rule 153 of the rules of procedure of the General Assembly, the attention of the Council was drawn to the estimated administrative and programme budget implications of the draft resolution. 246.
