Decision 4/104.
Enhancement of international cooperation in the
field of human rights
At its 31st meeting, on 30 March 2007, the Human Rights Council, recalling
Commission on Human Rights resolution 2005/54 of 20 April 2005 and General
Assembly resolution 61/168 of 19 December 2006 decided without a vote:
(a)
To request the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights
to consult States, and intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations on ways
and means to enhance the international cooperation and dialogue in the United
Nations human rights machinery, including the Human Rights Council as recognized
in the ninth preambular paragraph of General Assembly resolution 60/251 of 15
March 2006;
(b)
Also to request the High Commissioner to present a report on the basis
of her findings to the Council before the end of 2007.
