I support the Human Rights Watch recommendations to OHCHR, published in its latest report “So much to fear - war crimes and devastation of Somalia”, on the need for UNPOS Human Rights Office to have further expertise [on children, and] on monitoring of sexual and gender-based violence. If monitoring inside Somalia is not possible due to security concerns, OHCHR may consider focusing on documenting the experiences of refugees in Kenya, Djibouti, and Yemen and of displaced people in Somalia. -----
