In this context, it was felt that human rights should be integrated on the post-2015 development agenda. 62. A number of speakers referred to cross-regional and international cooperation and technical assistance as key ways to promote a culture of human rights. These issues should receive the appropriate attention and resources to allow the Office to work in this area. It was recalled that international cooperation also played a crucial role in the promotion and protection of human rights. In the opinion of some, constructive cooperation, equal and mutually respectful dialogue and exchange of best practices must be the key principles of the work of the Council. 13
