Missing persons
At its 34th meeting, on 17 June 2010, the Human Rights Council decided to adopt
the following text:
“The Human Rights Council,
Recalling its resolution 7/28 of 28 March 2008 and all previous resolutions
on missing persons adopted by the General Assembly and the Commission on
Human Rights,
Recalling also its decision 12/117 of 1 October 2009, in which the Council
requested the Advisory Committee to submit the study on best practices in the
matter of missing persons to the Council at its fourteenth session,
1.
Takes note of the progress report on best practices in the matter of
missing persons submitted by the Advisory Committee (A/HRC/14/42);
2.
Requests the Advisory Committee to finalize the study on best
practices and to submit it to the Council at its sixteenth session.”
