Lastly, the Special Rapporteur pays tribute to the incessant work of civil society, which has played a decisive role in bringing the human rights agenda of the situation in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea as far as it has come today. In this new phase of work, the Special Rapporteur encourages civil society actors, regardless of their location, ideology, focus or approach to the way forward, to work together. 21
