The Sub-Commission considered agenda item 8 at its 23rd meeting, on 25 August 2006. 164. At that meeting, Mr. Cherif, Rapporteur of the Sub-Commission, presented the draft report on the work of its fifty-eighth session (A/HRC/Sub.1/58/L.10 and A/HRC/Sub.1/58/L.11 and Add.1). 165. Statements in connection with the adoption of the report were made by Mr. Alfonso Martínez, Mr. Bengoa, Mr. Decaux and Mr. Kartashkin. 166. At the same meeting, the Sub-Commission adopted the draft report ad referendum and decided to entrust the Rapporteur with its finalization.
