At the 22nd meeting, on 24 September, the representative of Egypt (on behalf of the African Group) introduced draft resolution A/HRC/9/L.1, sponsored by Morocco (on behalf of the Arab Group) and Pakistan (on behalf of the Organization of the Islamic Conference) and co-sponsored by Azerbaijan. 33. At the request of the representative of Egypt (on behalf of the African Group), the draft resolution was deferred for consideration by the Council, at its tenth session. Strengthening of the Human Rights Council 34. At the 23rd meeting, on 24 September, the President of the Council introduced draft decision A/HRC/9/L.27/Rev.1. 35. The draft decision was adopted without a vote. For the text as adopted, see part one, decision 9/103. 36. At the same meeting, statements were made by the representatives of Algeria, Singapore and Sri Lanka. 37. At the 23rd meeting, on 24 September, a statement was made by the representative of Amnesty International. K. Adoption of the report on the session 38. At the 23rd meeting, on 24 September, the Rapporteur and Vice-President of the Council made a statement in connection with the draft report of the Council (A/HRC/9/L.10). 39. The draft report was adopted ad referendum. 40. The Council decided to entrust the Rapporteur with the finalization of the report. 41. At the same meeting, the President of the Council made a closing statement.
