The report of the Secretary-General on the protection of human rights in the context of human immunodeficiency virus and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (HIV/AIDS) is submitted on a biennial basis, pursuant to Commission on Human Rights resolution 2005/84. The latest report on this issue was submitted to the fourth session of the Human Rights Council in 2007 (A/HRC/4/110). The next report on the issue will be submitted in 2009, unless otherwise decided by the Council. ----- GE.08-11221 (E) 050308
