The report seeks to describe the human rights implications of the cross-border movement of migrants and asylum-seekers fleeing recent events in North Africa in the period from January to August 2011. It describes the displacement of migrants and asylumseekers during this period and highlights human rights concerns, as well as the relevant normative framework. It describes the international response to the situation of migrants and asylum-seekers fleeing recent events in North Africa, and ends with conclusions and recommendations aimed to protect the human rights of migrants and asylum-seekers in this context. * Late submission.
