[English only] Robust indicators are essential tools for revealing possible violations, assessments of available resources, and implementing and monitoring targeted, evidence-based and time-bound policies and programmes. The Special Rapporteur wishes to draw attention to the table of illustrative structural, process and outcome indicators that were identified in collaboration with the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights. She recommends that States develop and use contextually relevant indicators through participatory efforts and guided by the table of illustrative indicators. The list is work in progress and feedback is welcomed and may be submitted to the Human Rights Indicators Unit (hrindicators@ohchr.org) at the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights.
