The Government transmitted two communications to the Working Group dated 14 December 2009 and 12 August 2010. The information provided in the first communication, concerning nine outstanding cases, was considered insufficient to lead to clarification. The second communication, also concerning nine outstanding cases, was not translated in time for inclusion in the present report. Total cases transmitted, clarified and outstanding 540. Since its establishment, the Working Group has transmitted 14 cases to the Government; of those, four cases have been clarified on the basis of information provided by the Government, and 10 remain outstanding. Observations 541. The Working Group notes that the Government has signed the International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance and calls upon the Government to ratify it and accept the competence of the Committee under articles 31 and 32.
