At the 2nd meeting, on 1 December, the representative of France, on behalf of the European Union, informed the Council that draft resolution A/HRC/S-8/L.1 had been withdrawn. 22. At the same meeting, the representative of Egypt, on behalf of the Group of African States, introduced draft resolution A/HRC/S-8/L.2/Rev.2, sponsored by Egypt, on behalf of the Group of African States. Subsequently, Monaco and Switzerland joined the sponsors.
