Delete the fifth, eighth and ninth preambular paragraphs. 2. Replace operative paragraph 1 by: 1. Decides to defer the decision pertaining to the review, rationalization and improvement of the mandate of the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Sudan to the eighth session of the Council in June 2008; 3. After paragraph 1, insert the following new paragraph: 2. Requests the Special Rapporteur to engage in an open and constructive dialogue with the Government of the Sudan in fulfilling her mandate and to cooperate with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and the relevant United Nations mechanisms, taking into account the relevant resolutions and reports, inter alia, the final report on the situation of human rights in Darfur prepared by the group of experts (A/HRC/6/19); 4.
