A/HRC/16/26 On 21 December 2010, Alpha Condé was sworn in as President after Cellou Dalein Diallo conceded and pledged to cooperate with the new Government. President Condé has committed to work towards social inclusiveness and to ensure accountability for past human rights abuses, including through the establishment of a transitional justice mechanism. This provides the opportunity to strengthen collaboration to support Guinea building its capacity to address the culture of impunity and to promote and protect all human rights of all throughout the country. The report concludes with a set of recommendations addressed to the Government of Guinea and to the international community. 2
