Grenada accepts these recommendations. The priority of
Government to see that the human rights of its citizens are
protected are not only enshrined in its constitution and
protected by numerous pieces of legislation; but forms the
basis of our National Sustainable Development Plan as
Government’s plans for sustainable development are
people-centric. Cabinet has since the last review
commissioned a National Coordinating Committee to
conceptualize the process for the establishment of the
National Human Rights Institute. Additionally, the
Committee will map out the follow-up process, ensure
wide consultation, draft action plans and report to Cabinet.
